Vườn Quốc gia (VQG) Côn Đảo thuộc tỉnh Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu được thành lập từ năm 1993 trên cơ sở chuyển từ Khu rừng cấm Côn Đảo, quy mô gồm 14 hòn đảo lớn, nhỏ thuộc quần đảo Côn Sơn rất phong phú về hệ sinh thái tự nhiên và các loài đặc hữu, có tiềm năng đa dạng sinh học cao. Sự hiện hữu của các hệ sinh thái tự nhiên như rạn san hô, thảm cỏ biển, rừng nhiệt đới hải đảo, rừng ngập mặn là nơi sinh sống của các loài động vật quý hiếm như rùa biển, cá heo, bò biển đã tạo nên cho Côn Đảo tiềm năng sinh học đặc sắc, có ý nghĩa quốc gia và toàn cầu về bảo t�
